My wood cuts are an exploration of adding a sculptural and whimsical element to my work. Isolating a subject from its original context and creating it out of painted, hand cut wood elevates it the status of an icon, symbol, or glyph. These pieces can be hung on a wall or propped on a shelf, allowing collectors to add a pop of whimsy wherever they need.
